Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Woxgen, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Karan Mehta based in India (“Woxgen”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to and use of the Woxgen website at woxgen.com, the editor at app.woxgen.com, and any related services we make available (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract under applicable law to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any content uploaded or any charges incurred.
• You must promptly notify us at support@woxgen.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.

3. Description of the Service

Woxgen is an AI-assisted tool that turns raw screen recordings and product footage into polished demo videos. The Service generates narration scripts, synthesises voice-over audio, applies subtitles, and renders an exportable video file. Specific features, formats, durations, and quotas depend on the plan you choose.

We work continuously to improve the Service. Features may be added, modified, or removed. Major changes that materially reduce functionality of a paid plan will be communicated to active subscribers in advance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not, and will not allow any third party to:

• Upload content that you do not own or have permission to use, including copyrighted videos, audio, or imagery owned by others.
• Upload sexually explicit content, content involving minors in any inappropriate context, hate speech, harassment, content depicting graphic violence, or content that promotes illegal activity.
• Use the Service to create misleading, defamatory, deceptive, or fraudulent material, including fake testimonials or impersonation of real individuals without consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise extract source code or models used in the Service.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network connected to the Service without our prior written consent.
• Bypass plan limits, share a single account between multiple individuals to circumvent licensing, or resell access to the Service.
• Use the Service to generate spam, run bulk unsolicited outreach, or violate any applicable law.

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access for violations of this section without refund.

5. Intellectual property

Your content

You retain all rights to the videos, audio, scripts, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant Woxgen a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transform, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service for you. This licence ends when you delete Your Content from the Service.

Generated output

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own the rendered output that the Service produces from Your Content. You are free to use it for personal or commercial purposes, including for product marketing, sales, education, and social media.

Our property

The Service software, the Woxgen brand, our logo, design, and all underlying technology are owned by Karan Mehta operating as Woxgen and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or any part of the Service except as expressly permitted.

6. Plans, billing, and renewal

• The Service offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. Plan features, quotas, and prices are described on the pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as you select). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. GST and any other taxes will be added at checkout where required by Indian tax law.
• You may cancel at any time from your account settings. On cancellation, your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the account is downgraded to the free tier.
• Failed payments may result in a temporary downgrade to the free tier. Repeated payment failures may lead to account suspension.
• Fee changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance and will only apply to renewals after that notice period.

7. Refunds

Subscriptions to Woxgen are billed in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details, including how to cancel.

8. Third-party services

Parts of the Service rely on third-party providers (for AI inference, voice synthesis, payment processing, email delivery, and cloud storage). Your use of the Service is also subject to the relevant providers’ terms where they apply. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or terms of third parties.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woxgen disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated output before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woxgen and Karan Mehta will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to Woxgen in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Karan Mehta, Woxgen, and our affiliates, employees, and contractors from and against any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or any rights of a third party.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if continued provision of the Service would be unlawful, or for operational reasons. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by closing your account from settings. On termination, the licences granted by these Terms end immediately.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, the courts in the city where the proprietor ordinarily resides shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified to active users by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
